Position Overview

The Medical Call Center  Operator is a vital member of our client's Communications team, responsible for ensuring seamless 24/7 communication across satellite offices, departments, and healthcare professionals. This role operates a computer-based telephone console, digital paging, public address systems, and a radio-based network, supporting both routine and emergency communication needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the centralized communication console to manage incoming and outgoing calls.

  • Provide immediate communication support during routine operations and emergencies.

  • Facilitate real-time paging and notifications across our client's network.

  • Ensure timely and accurate message delivery to physicians, clinical teams, and administrative staff.

  • Manage multiple technologies including PA systems, paging systems, and Microsoft Office tools.


Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year in a high-volume customer service environment.

  • Switchboard or telecommunications experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams required.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

  • Capable of prioritizing tasks and adapting to shifting schedules.

  • Able to make independent decisions while knowing when to escalate issues.

  • Effective interpersonal skills to engage with the public, staff, and external professionals.

Work Schedule
