Position Overview
The Medical Call Center Operator is a vital member of our client's Communications team, responsible for ensuring seamless 24/7 communication across satellite offices, departments, and healthcare professionals. This role operates a computer-based telephone console, digital paging, public address systems, and a radio-based network, supporting both routine and emergency communication needs.
Key Responsibilities

Operate the centralized communication console to manage incoming and outgoing calls.

Provide immediate communication support during routine operations and emergencies.

Facilitate real-time paging and notifications across our client's network.

Ensure timely and accurate message delivery to physicians, clinical teams, and administrative staff.

Manage multiple technologies including PA systems, paging systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
Minimum Qualifications
Education-
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of one (1) year in a high-volume customer service environment.

Switchboard or telecommunications experience preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Capable of prioritizing tasks and adapting to shifting schedules.

Able to make independent decisions while knowing when to escalate issues.

Effective interpersonal skills to engage with the public, staff, and external professionals.
