Job Summary:
The Picker Packer and Assembly plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of the warehouse, responsible for accurately selecting, packaging, and preparing materials and products for shipment. This position ensures that the correct items are picked and packed efficiently, while adhering to safety standards and maintaining the quality of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

- 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday-Friday Overtime may be required during peak periods.
- 7:30am – 4:00pm Monday-Friday Overtime may be required during peak periods.
- 3:00pm – 11:00pm Monday-Friday Overtime may be required during peak periods.
Compensation:$16.00 to $17.00/hour (.50 shift differential for 2nd shift)
*Advancements and pay increases available even during temp assignments
Key Responsibilities for many opportunities: All position must adhere to Keeping work areas clean and organized, following safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Picking and Packing Orders: Accurately pick and pack products based on order requirements using pick lists or electronic scanners.
- Assembly: pack items according to specifications – this section is primary in paper marketing division
- Material Handling: Move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse using manual or mechanical methods such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Ensure correct inventory is stored, tracked, and rotated. Assist in stock replenishment and maintain accurate stock levels. Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including order forms, packing slips, and inventory logs.
- Shipping and Receiving: Assist in receiving, verifying, and storing incoming shipments. Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and packaging items securely.
- Quality Control: Inspect items for damage or defects, ensuring only quality products are shipped to customers.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- Previous warehouse, picker/packer, or material handling experience is an asset, but not required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 15 to 20 pounds).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Comfortable using handheld scanners and other basic warehouse technology.
Work Environment:
- Requires standing for extended periods.
- May involve working in varying temperature environments
- Regularly lifting or moving materials that are moderately heavy.
