About the Role:
Federal Signal manufactures cutting-edge products that serve the safety and infrastructure needs of communities across the country. As a Material Resource Handler, you will play a key role in the supply chain by managing inventory, supporting logistics, and ensuring timely material availability to meet production schedules. This role supports the Heavy Duty PSS Department in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Pay Rate: $19.26/hour - $21.30/hour, DOE
Available Shift Times:
- Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Requisition and store materials, parts, and components based on production schedules
- Accumulate and deliver materials to designated areas within the facility
- Work from shop orders, schedules, and computer-based instructions
- Perform electronic data entry and initiate ordering via EDI systems
- Verify material identity, quantity, and quality; report defects or discrepancies
- Assist with unloading and unpacking shipments
- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records
- Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle checks
- Perform additional material handling and support tasks as required
- Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid forklift license or ability to pass certification training
- Experience with hand tools, pallet jacks, CRT systems, and EDI platforms
- Ability to interpret work orders, schedules, and verbal/written instructions
- Must be team-oriented and follow safety rules diligently
- Must be physically able to stand, walk, stoop, and lift up to 75 lbs on occasion
- Strong vision requirements including color, depth, and peripheral vision
