Integrity Staffing is assisting our client in Hi-Nella, NJ with adding Collections Specialists to their team! This is a Direct Hire opportunity with a growing debt collection agency. About the Role: The Collection specialist is responsible for the recovery of outstanding balances from consumers and businesses via telephone. As part of this role, you will handle inbound and outbound calls, providing accurate information and resolving payment discrepancies with professionalism and courtesy.  
Pay Rate: $17.50 - $21.00 + bonus incentives
Available Shift Times : Monday thru Friday (no weekends)
  • Standard hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • One late shift: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Fridays: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
  • Recover outstanding balances from consumers and businesses via telephone in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer inbound and outbound calls, addressing questions and resolving payment discrepancies promptly.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements while adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all account activity in the system.
  • Work a 40-hour schedule on-site in Hi-Nella, NJ.
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and strong verbal communication skills.
  • Utilize computer systems efficiently for account management and data entry.
Requirements:
  • Third-party debt collection experience is preferred; however, candidates with several years of first-party collections, customer service, call center, sales, or telemarketing will be considered.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to resolve payment issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with debt collection laws (e.g., FDCPA) is a plus.
  • Comfortable working independently and maintaining organized workflows.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to meet and exceed company objectives.
  • Dependable schedule adherence and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to convey information clearly and positively.
  • Proficient in MS Office and database systems; strong typing ability.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Medical collections experience is nice to have but not required.
