About the Position:
Our Client is a leader in Supply Chain Logistics Distribution. They are a newly located in the Des Plaines
area. This is an entry level role at Flexport as Warehouse Associate you will perform steady and standard workload, The role includes performing various job roles in a rotation, reacting to lights and sounds should deviations occur, and communication with shift leads to ensure any deviations of product that are detected are reported in a timely manner. The role includes picking, packing, sorting shipping, and receiving of various products. They are currently looking to bring on a team player to fill an exciting role as a Warehouse Dock Clerk (PIT)

- PRIMARY FULLTIME SHIFTS - 1 ST SHIFT @ $24.00/HR
- Sunday through Wednesday and Wednesday through Saturday
- 7:00AM-5:30 PM
- Dress Code CASUAL Warehouse Attire
- Protective shoes: not required
Pay Range : $24.00
Key Responsibilities:
● Safely operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts order pickers and pallet jacks
● Maneuver powered industrial trucks (PIT) in narrow aisles and congested areas while maintaining adherence to safety regulations.
● Inspect PIT equipment regularly and report any malfunctions or maintenance issues promptly.
● Lift, transport, and stack materials, products, and equipment
● Load and unload trucks and containers
- Documentation: Creating shipping documents, updating logs, and verifying invoices.
- Logistics: Scheduling shipments, coordinating with carriers, and tracking outgoing orders.
- Receiving: Unloading deliveries, inspecting goods for damage and signing for packages.
- Dock Safety: Ensure drivers are checked in and trailers are locked for PIT drivers safety.
- Communication: Maintain daily communication throughout the day with client management team in order to achieve daily goals.
● Inspect and report any forklift malfunctions or maintenance issues
● Maintain accurate records of forklift usage and maintenance
● Work collaboratively with other warehouse team members to ensure efficient operations
● Adhere to company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
● Recent forklift operator experience
● Previous forklift operator certification
● Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial environment
● Proven ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently
● Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
● Lift up to 49 pounds
● Push utility cards up to 60 pounds
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Ability to follow instructions and work safely
