About the Role:
Federal Signal is a trusted leader in emergency response and communication technology, serving communities and industries nationwide. The Speaker Line Assembler role is critical to the production of high-quality communication equipment. The role includes detailed assembly of mechanical and electrical components, working from specs and schedules, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Pay Rate: $19.77/hour - $21.77/hour, DOE

Available Shift Times:
  • Monday – Friday, 3:30pm – 12:00am
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble speaker line components using soldering, staking, riveting, and pressing techniques
  • Review production schedules and coordinate materials, tools, and supplies for the work cell
  • Utilize shop orders, blueprints, and test instructions (digital and print)
  • Make electrical connections and test product functionality
  • Identify, store, and retrieve parts across storage areas
  • Troubleshoot and correct assembly malfunctions
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, meters, pallet jacks, and computers
  • Complete preventive maintenance on assembly equipment
  • Train new team members and promote work cell efficiency
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety within the work cell
  • Fill out non-conformance reports and complete system transactions for inventory updates
Key Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical assembly required
  • Must pass company comprehension test
  • Knowledge of hand/power tools, meters, gauges, soldering irons, crimping tools, etc.
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform physical tasks (standing, lifting up to 25 lbs, using arms/hands extensively)
  • Capable of reading schematics, shop instructions, and completing documentation
  • Familiarity with PPE usage (safety glasses, hearing protection, ESD gear)
