As a Lead Press Operator at our client, you will oversee the operation and performance of our state-of-the-art flexographic presses—the largest and most advanced in the lottery instant ticket printing industry.
This leadership role is responsible for ensuring press efficiency, maintaining top-tier print quality, and mentoring press team members.
You’ll play a critical part in delivering outstanding graphics, bulletproof security, and exceptional customer service through precision press operations.

Schedule: D
ay shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) and Night shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
Responsibilities
- Lead daily press operations, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedules
- Interpret job sheets and oversee accurate press setup, including Anilox roll selection, print sleeves, and stock
- Supervise ink preparation and ensure correct ink placement across print decks
- Monitor and enforce quality control standards, including web inspection and registration accuracy
- Troubleshoot press issues and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- Record and report production metrics: footage printed, ink usage, and quality samples
- Mentor and train Press Operators and Assistants, fostering a culture of safety, precision, and continuous improvement
- Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to ensure press readiness and minimize downtime
- Operate unwinders and manage substrate loading during production
- Mix custom inks and adjust PH/viscosity as needed for color consistency
- Ensure compliance with all Brightstar Lottery policies, including confidentiality and environmental standards
Education Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in 4-Color Process (CMYK)
- UV Ink handling experience
- Familiarity with heavy coatings and finishing techniques
- 5+ years of related mechanical, manufacturing, and/or printing experience
- Flexographic press operations required
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a pressroom environment strongly desired
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours during a shift
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally throughout the shift
- Physical capability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, push, pull, and twist at the torso as required
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed processes and procedures related to facility operations
