Our client is hiring in Lakeland, FL.

We have an immediate opening for an Industrial Engineer who thrives on solving complex operational challenges, streamlining workflows, and optimizing end‑to‑end processes in a manufacturing and packaging environment. 

n this role, you’ll build high-performing systems that support production reliability, improve throughput, and create smarter, scalable ways of working across our print and packaging operations.

You’ll partner closely with operations leaders, maintenance teams, quality, supply chain, and cross‑functional production teams to deliver data-driven insights and operational improvements that move the business forward.
 


What You’ll Do

  • Analyze production workflows to identify inefficiencies and build solutions that improve throughput, reduce waste, and strengthen overall performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured methodologies to elevate operational excellence.
  • Build time studies, workflow models, and simulation analyses that guide line balancing, staffing strategies, and equipment utilization.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and performance dashboards.
  • Assess equipment performance and partner with maintenance to identify opportunities for reliability improvements and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Lead root‑cause analyses and corrective‑action planning to address production bottlenecks or quality issues.
  • Evaluate new technologies, automation tools, and layout enhancements to support long‑term capacity planning and scalability.
  • Use data analytics to forecast production needs, labor requirements, and resource planning.
  • Support safety initiatives by ensuring ergonomic design, risk reduction, and workflow improvements that enhance team member wellbeing.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, printing, packaging, or high‑volume production environment.
  • Strong foundation in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies (certifications a plus).
  • Proven experience conducting time studies, workflow analyses, and performance modeling.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Minitab, or similar).
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to influence across teams.
  • Curiosity, problem‑solving strength, and a passion for making processes simpler, smarter, and more efficient.
