About the Role
As a Gear Machine Operator, you will operate and oversee gear manufacturing equipment, ensuring precise and high-quality output. Your responsibilities include loading and unloading metal workpieces, following detailed blueprints and process instructions, monitoring machining cycles, conducting in-process inspections, and maintaining accurate records. You will also communicate any tooling or machine concerns to technicians and assist with changeovers and setup.

Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Operate gear manufacturing machinery and processes
- Load, position, and unload metal workpieces according to specifications
- Follow machine setups, blueprints, and process instructions
- Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring tools
- Monitor tooling and machine conditions, recognizing abnormalities
- Assist with changeovers and machine setup
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records
- Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
Key Requirements
- Previous precision machining experience strongly preferred
- Gear manufacturing experience highly desirable
- Ability to read blueprints and utilize precision measurement equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to produce high-quality work while meeting production goals
- Understanding of gear manufacturing, hobbing, shaping, grinding, or CNC machining is a plus
