Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of industrial processing equipment.You’ll need experience in with Material feed systems, Scales, Blenders and Plastic Processing equipment.
Shifts:
1st Shift M-F 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; 2nd Shift M-F 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM; 3rd Shift M-F 12:00 AM to 08:00 AMKey Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance on processing equipment including extrusion lines, chillers, and auxiliary plastic processing machinery, following manufacturer specifications.
- Fabricate machinery and storage systems (minimum 5 years of experience required).
- Perform welding tasks (strong welding experience preferred).
- Troubleshoot control systems for processing equipment.
- Apply industrial electrical knowledge (experience is a plus).
- Operate lathe and milling machines for general machining tasks.
- Maintain organized workspaces using 5S methodology.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Safely lift and maneuver equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Perform general rigging and operate forklifts.
- Apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience in machinery maintenance and fabrication.
- 2+ years experience with material feed systems, scales, blenders and Plastic Processing equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with machining tools and techniques.
- Forklift certification and LOTO training are preferred.
