About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team. This role is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components and structures according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical welding expertise, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to workplace safety.


Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
  • Perform various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-core welding, on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, grinders, torches, and other fabrication tools.
  • Inspect and test welded joints for strength, appearance, and compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain welding equipment in good working condition and perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Follow safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, safe material handling, and adherence to OSHA regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and engineers to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in welding preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional welding experience (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred).
  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding; ability to perform stick welding a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of welding codes, symbols, and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in varying conditions.

Preferred Skills

  • Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent).
  • Experience with fabrication, cutting, and assembly.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices.
