Our client is launching their U.S.-owned facility in Wilmington, Delaware to support continued global growth and improved logistics performance. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a ground-up warehouse operation with room for career advancement and leadership.

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on, accountable Warehouse Supervisor who is ready to take on the challenge of launching and growing our new Wilmington, DE facility. This individual will be instrumental in setting up the facility, leading a small team from the start, and evolving into a broader leadership role as the site scales.

 

This role is ideal for a candidate with prior warehouse supervisory experience who is ready to take the next step in their career, with the long-term goal of becoming a Warehouse Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Startup & Facility Setup

  • Oversee day-to-day coordination of warehouse setup, including:
  • Racking delivery and installation
  • Electrical service activation
  • Wi-Fi and systems installation
  • Act as on-site lead during facility launches with support from corporate and remote leadership Team Leadership
  • Lead and supervise a starting team of 4–5 warehouse associates
  • Support hiring efforts including interviewing, onboarding, and training
  • Establish and reinforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety practices
  • Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and teamwork

Operational Execution

  • Oversee receiving, sorting, storage, and shipping of parcels in line with company processes
  • Monitor KPIs, warehouse cleanliness, inventory accuracy, and turnaround time
  • Coordinate with remote corporate teams for systems alignment and operational reporting
  • Identify workflow improvements and proactively solve operational issues

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with export laws and regulations including sanctions, denied party screening, national security restrictions, and dual-use controls
  • Maintain positive working relationships with enforcement bodies such as Homeland Security, BIS, and CBP
  • Ensure adherence to international standards for dangerous goods handling, packaging, and labeling (e.g., lithium batteries, perfumes, medications)
  • Proactively identify and report fraudulent activity

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
  • Comfortable using warehouse management software and basic Microsoft Office tools
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • 1–2 years in a hands-on role exporting goods outside the U.S. using couriers such as DHL, FedEx, or UPS
  • Experience launching or scaling a facility or team is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with remote leadership and global teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Self-starter with the confidence to make decisions and take initiative with limited oversight
  • Experience with hiring, onboarding, and developing warehouse staff
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
