We are seeking a dependable and motivated Floor Lead
to support daily warehouse and distribution operations within an assigned department. In this role, you’ll help keep workflow on track, support team performance, maintain productivity and quality standards, and serve as a point of contact for associates and leadership throughout the shift.
Temp-to-Hire Potential:
This is a temporary position with potential to be hired by Flexport after 600 hours worked, based on performance, attendance, and business need.

Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operations within an assigned department to help ensure workflow stays on track
- Help direct floor activity and provide day-to-day guidance to associates during the shift
- Monitor productivity, quality, and attendance within the work area
- Assist with training, coaching, and onboarding of new team members
- Communicate department priorities, updates, and operational needs to associates
- Partner with supervisors and operations leadership to address workflow issues and staffing needs
- Help identify and resolve production delays, quality concerns, and process gaps
- Ensure associates follow safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies
- Support coverage planning, task assignments, and labor balancing within the department
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Step in to assist with hands-on operational work as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse, production, fulfillment, or lead experience required
- Prior experience providing direction, coaching, or floor support to a team preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Experience with warehouse systems, inventory processes, or department workflow is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work safely around moving equipment, carts, freight, and other warehouse activity
- Ability to work in a warehouse/distribution environment with varying temperatures
