Join our client in Lebanon, IN as a Quality Assurance Specialist.
You'll need to be local to the Lebanon, IN area and have a background in food manufacturing for consideration.Pay Rate: $80,000.
- Report to the Central QA Manager and support food safety, certification, and quality systems
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, certification, and customer requirements
- Act as a key liaison between commercialization, quality, and plant operations
- Translate product specifications and certifications into execution on the production floor
- Maintain systems that uphold food safety, product integrity, and audit readiness
What You’ll Do
Certification & Regulatory Compliance- Manage certification programs: Kosher, Organic, Non-GMO, RSPO, Gluten-Free
- Maintain certification databases and verify supplier/product documentation
- Ensure all product claims meet regulatory and certification standards
- Support HACCP program (quarterly reviews, documentation updates)
- Coordinate QIP (in-process) and QAP (finished product) quality programs
- Ensure production aligns with food safety and customer specifications
- Own document control system (creation, updates, annual reviews)
- Complete QA sections of customer questionnaires
- Maintain accurate regulatory and compliance documentation
- Prepare for and support customer, certification, and internal audits
- Track and follow up on corrective actions
- Ensure audit readiness across the facility
- Maintain supplier/manufacturer database
- Coordinate vendor approvals and verify certifications
- Ensure supplier compliance with food safety standards
- Maintain QA data within ERP systems
- Support new product setup and QA updates
- Ensure production run data and specifications are accurate
- Bridge commercialization and plant operations
- Translate certification and product requirements into plant execution
- Partner with cross-functional teams to meet compliance and quality goal
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- HACCP certification required; PCQI preferred or willingness to obtain
- Experience with HACCP, BRC, GFSI, or similar frameworks
- Background in regulatory compliance and certification programs
- Experience with organic, kosher, or specialty claims products preferred
