Job Title: Machine Operator (MUST HAVE MANUFACTURING SKILLS)
Job Summary:
We are seeking reliable and efficient machine operator to join our team. The unloader will be responsible for safely and efficiently unloading goods from trucks, containers, or storage units and ensuring items are stored in the appropriate locations. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Sun night-Thursday night 10:30pm-6:30am, OT as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload goods from delivery trucks, containers, or other vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues to the supervisor.
- Sort and organize goods in the warehouse according to company guidelines.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move items as needed.
- Ensure that unloaded products are stored in proper locations within the warehouse or distribution center.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the unloading area to ensure safety.
- Assist with inventory checks and ensure that product counts match shipping documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during unloading and handling of goods.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in warehouse or logistics is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, is a plus (training may be provided).
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Working Conditions:
- Physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures (e.g., cold storage areas).
- Overtime or weekend work may be required during peak periods.
