The Account Specialist - Logistics is a critical point of contact for managing daily transportation operations.
This role is responsible for coordinating with carriers, ensuring compliance with routing guides, maintaining shipment accuracy within the Transportation Management System (TMS), and overseeing driver check-ins and document processing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and excel at communication and organization.

About the Role:
Pay Rate:$24.00
Shift Times (as available):
- Mon-Fri 8am-4pm or 730am-3pm
- Orientation will be at 9am Day 1
- Serve as the main liaison between carriers and internal teams for scheduling, shipment updates, and issue
resolution.
- Ensure all shipments follow retailer and customer routing guides and meet service-level requirements.
- Enter, monitor, and update shipments in the TMS portal, including creation, tendering, and status updates.
- Conduct load audits to verify accuracy of shipment details, including weight, carton count, and service level.
- Confirm shipment pickups and deliveries; track exceptions and escalate issues as needed.
- Manage inbound and outbound driver check-in/check-out procedures at the warehouse dock.
- Prepare and process Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing lists, and related shipping paperwork.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation is filed and shared with relevant departments.
- Support compliance initiatives by maintaining proper documentation and adhering to audit requirements.
- Communicate proactively via email and internal systems to provide shipment status updates and resolve
problems.
- Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of routing guides, BOL documentation, and carrier procedures.
- Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (e.g., E2Open, MercuryGate, SAP TMS).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
1–2 years in a customer or technical support role (e-commerce or SaaS preferred).
- Strong communication skills, especially written, with a focus on clarity and empathy.
- Comfort using tools like Zendesk, Slack, Postman, Google Docs, and basic
ticketing/reporting systems.
- Ability to follow troubleshooting steps, learn new tools quickly, and work independently in
a remote environment.
- Experience with Shopify, Walmart, or Amazon seller platforms is a plus.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with APIs or shipping logic is a bonus, but not required.
- Prior experience in a high-volume chat environment.
